Sorry if this grosses anyone out! This sorta thing usually doesn't but I get the willies looking at this picture. I just have to document it so we all don't forget (and make the same mistake again). On June 2nd, a Saturday afternoon I was tired and trying to take a nap on the couch. The kids were upstairs in the loft playing and Brock was right by them on the computer. They were jumping on our huge lazysac...an activity that is almost daily around here, and laughing up a storm. Someone usually hits there head on the wall or the kids jump on each other and cry so when I heard Kayden crying I didn't think too much of it. Brock rushed Kayden to the bathroom where his head began to bleed...A LOT! He yelled to me to come upstairs. We couldn't figure out where the blood was coming from but decided we better take him to the hospital because there was a lot of it. We hopped in the car...Brooklyn had no pants on, I was dressed up from an earlier fireside I went to, Kayden was covered in blood...we were a funny site i think. I drove while Brock held Kayden's head together in the back seat. On the way to the hospital Kayden started to get really sleepy and asked if he already had stitches in his head. It was making me a little nervous & we did our best to keep him awake. Kayden did indeed have a huge gash in his head from hitting the side of a chair while falling backwards onto the lazysac. He ended up getting 7 staples in his head & we in total spent about 3 hours at the doctors. Kayden was so excited to show off his battle wounds in church the next day, and a few days later to all of our family at our reunion. We left town a few days later & I was kinda nervous to leave with his staples but he was fine. He only complained of a little headache for about a day. 8 days later he got them out & it was like nothing even happend. We now have a new rule in our house about jumping on the lazysac.

I'm so sorry that had to happen. We haven't had stapels for this kids yet, but Lilly has broken her arm. We felt awful because we were pushing her on the swing when she fell off.
Documenting it is always good. That way when he is bigger and wants to know why he has a scar on his head, you can tell him.
