Cali 2012

We made our annual trip to my parents house at the beginning of June. Melissa was graduating so that was the main reason we went out there, but we also did a lot of playing too. First things first though Brock helped my dad around the house with some much needed projects that had to get done. Next order of business...My grandparents berries!! We try and go every year around the time their berries are ripe because they are SO good and they are SO nice to always share with us. Its usually the highlight of Kaydens trip & is so bummed when we visit and there are no berries on the vines. This year my grandparents knew we were coming so they sent Kayden a little email beforehand with some pictures to get him all the more excited. They are too cute and this was a great shot of my cute grandma.

Kayden knows right were the berry pickin' bowls are at their house, so he wastes no time getting on those vines.

Kayden gets pretty excited about the berries, but so does this guy. He is right there pickin' and eatin' too.

We got Miss in on the action this year. She can't smile because her mouth is full of berries if you couldn't tell.

Grandpa has a little frog pond and the kids always like to play in it while the rest pick berries. We got to bring a bunch home this year & I was able to make some jam with it. It sure is tasty!!  All that hard work pays off over and over again!

Grandma & Grandpa live right across from a fun park so we always make lots of trips over there to play.

The main star. We are so proud of her!! I threw a little lunch for her with all the family before we headed off to her graduation. She was only allotted so many tickets and was short a few so my sweet husband stayed with all the kids so that the sisters could go and support Melissa.

Melissa's group that graduated from her school. There were over 400 that graduated all together...ya it was one long ceremony reading off all those names and it was FREEZING!

Did i say it was freezing...because it was. Can you tell we are cold?? We tried to hurry and snap some pictures so we could get out of there when it was over.

We definitely have our favorite spots to visit when we go to northern Cali. Maybe someday we will branch out more but for now we are happy with these. We always visit the boardwalk & this year was no exception. Melissa said that she didn't want any gifts, just for all of us to be together on the boardwalk...we didn't complain!

 We rode a few rides and then spent some time on the beach. It was a gorgeous day!

I was a little worried about Kayden's staples and getting them sandy and wet, but they were just fine.

It was a quick trip this year with way too much driving but we had a great time as always!
