Closing Day!

We were SO excited to close on our house on the 21st! Brock took the whole day off work to help me pack up all of our stuff at the hotel and load it in the car, and we checked out. We went and closed and were all ready to spend the rest of the day cleaning and moving in. Little did we know that Nevada does things a little different than Wyoming. They don't do "round table" closings here which means you go and sign all the papers and then you wait some more. We were a little disappointed and frustrated that no one told us this. Our realtor and loan officer knew we were from Wyoming, but no one thought to tell us. We walked away sad but also laughed at the whole situation. We had to go check back into the hotel one more time. Luckily everyone working on our loan was fast and everything got recorded by Friday afternoon so we were handed the keys about 3:30pm on Friday. We were SO excited again and glad that we didn't have to spend the weekend in the hotel. I really can't complain. We bought a short sale home and we are lucky enough to be in it after just a month of putting in an offer.
