We had a fabulous Thanksgiving this year. Because Tyler can't go out quit yet (only four more months to go) we decided to have a small Thanksgiving at our house. Melanie, Kris and Addy came over from Salt Lake to enjoy it with us. I did dinner all by myself except for the yams and apple pie. I don't like either so I told Brock if he wanted them he would have to make them himself. I have never done a Thanksgiving meal before and I will admit I was very nervous. I bought a Turkey but didn't know how to cook one. I was just going to look it up online, but I just happened to watch Oprah the day before and she had a lady on there that showed how to cook a fabulous Turkey....and let me tell you it was fabulous. I am a very visual learner so it was great for me to watch it on Oprah and then again several times on her website. I marinated it the night before and then cooked it all day and it turned out great. I tried four new recipes, and for the most part it was great. The rest of the weekend was spent scrapbooking, playing video games, playing lots with the kids, relaxing, shopping and just having a great time together. We wish that the weekend could have lasted just a bit longer.

Yay for you! I haven't had to do a Thanksgiving by myself and I am VERY nervous...one day, one day. I am so glad that you were able to have your family there!
Your turkey looked great! I remember my first turkey. It was a disaster. But now I smoke mine and just love it. Glad you had a great Thanksgiving
