We found out last Tuesday that it was possible that we could bring Tyler home this weekend. With all of our excitement we got our house ready and made plans for him to go home. Brock got Friday off so we left on Thursday night to head back to Salt Lake. Friday morning Brock and I went over to the hospital. We spent all day learning CPR, learning Tylers Gtube and learning other cares for him. Tyler had to pass a car seat test where he had to sit in his car seat for three hours (the length it takes us to get home). It was a wonderful day, and it felt so good that it was his last day in the hospital hopefully for forever. Debbie one of our favorite nurses was Tylers nurse for the day. It was great. Another thing we had to pass off before we could take Tyler was we had to "room in" for the night. We got to sleep in a room right there in the NICU with Tyler. We had to "play house" pretty much. We got Tyler all to ourselves the whole night and we had to take care of him as if we were at home. The nurses only bugged us when he needed medications. It was a long night....Tyler hardly slept therefore we hardly slept, plus the bed we were on was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever been. We passed the test and after signing a few papers and collecting all of our stuff (We had a whole cart full...you accumulate just a few things in two months) we were able to walk out the door....

Roomin' In
The room we slept in with Tyler. We had to be with him for at least 12 hours on our own
Debbie was Tylers nurse on his last day in the hospital. She was one of our favorites. We are sad we will never see those good friends again that we made while in the hospital.
