Sleepless nights

It is expected when you have a baby that you will have sleepless nights and we are having many around our house. Tyler has to be fed every three hours which isn't too bad because it only takes 2 minutes with his Gtube (I think i will ask the doctors if all of my kids can have Gtubes because they are so much easier than trying to have them eat by mouth...I guess I am just a bit lazy). The thing that is killing me is that Kayden does not sleep all through the night as of about two weeks ago. This in turn makes for some long and grouchy days for the both of us. Tyler doesn't sleep through the night either, so when I am finished getting one to sleep the other one is awake. I feel bad for Brock because he has to work. Last night he sat up with Tyler for over an hour so that I could sleep....even though I can't really with Tyler crying. Brock was amazing and he never complains. I couldn't do it without him. Any suggestions on how to get a two year old to sleep through the night???

Thats the hardest part, just remember to blow everything off and take naps when they both are asleep. We used to put a blanket and pillow on the side of our bed and teach the kids if they wake up in the night to not wake us up and to just sleep there. You will have an adjustment period, but after awhile they will start sleeping, just hang in there.

So sorry! I would say to put him in a pack n play and make him cry it out, but I honestly don't have any suggestions. This is hard, especially with a newborn. But I do like the hemenway's idea..good luck!

Drugs! Just drug him up :-) Just kidding! Welcome to the world of multiple kids! Let me know what helps Kayden so I can try it on Ethan :-) Sorry for the no help, but I like what the first friend said. this to shall pass but sleep while you can for now.

Yea, this too shall pass. We use to just tuck them in bed with us and then carry them back to their beds when they fell back asleep.

Ughh! I'm totally with you. Trey is pretty good about sleeping most nights. But the ones where he wakes up its like they are playing tag-team wake mommy up. I usually just walk Trey back to bed. We've found that if Trey eats dinner well we usually do okay. When he sort of picks at his dinner he wakes up hungry or whatever. But he's an awful eater and I don't know if Kayden is. Hopefully once you all get a little more adjusted to having Tyler home things will settle down.

What a wonderful Mom you have to stay so long with you. We're moving in next to Jamie so I'll be around the corner, I hope you'll call me often!
