Grandpa's quick visit

I have been SO busy lately that blogging has managed its way down my priority list. I have been wanting to paint Kaydens room for a very long time but never did. Then we found out I was pregnant and I decided to wait until we knew what I was having before starting anything. Well I finally got around to it, and finally made the decision of colors, and what i wanted ( i think this is the hardest part, and it always takes me several trips to the store to look at paint samples). I started last Monday, and am still working on it, but I wanted to get most of it done before last Saturday when my dad payed us a little visit. I spent many hours taping, and painting and going to bed really late so it could be mostly finished before we had company come. I only have a bit more to do like the edging and the chair rail and touch ups so I will post pictures of that later. My dad came without my mom this time because she just had surgery, but he didn't come alone. My sister is in the middle of finishing up with school for the semester, so he decided to pick up Addy and come for the weekend. Kayden and Addy are only two months apart and they play so great together. We went to the park (one with a zip line..I wish I had a camera for my dad on that), had a BBQ, swam in the pool, played tons and had a great time with them. We wish we could see them more often, and for my sake I wish we lived around the corner from Addy. She kept Kayden entertained all weekend. It was so good to see them. Kayden is still talking about Addy. Here are just a few pictures of the fun we had.

The water was freezing in the pool, but that didn't stop the kids from splashing in it. We love to sit on our new deck and enjoy the cool evenings. Its also more fun when we have a little entertainment by the kids.
