Big Boy Bed

I can't believe we are finally at the stages of getting Kayden into a big boy bed. He had been shaking his crib to no end and it was about to fall apart, so I knew we desperately needed to get him out of there. (I wanted to wait until after the baby, or until he knew how to climb out, but shaking it was good enough). Since I was painting his room we had to move his crib to the spare room, so we just decided to leave one of the sides off, and let him have his big boy bed. He was so excited the first night, and couldn't stop running around the house saying "Bed, Bed". He does pretty well going to sleep at night. I think it will get even better when it gets darker earlier!! But nap times are a bit of a struggle. How do i get him to take a nap?? He definitly still needs naps (and I need mine) but yesterday it took him close to two hours to fall asleep. He gets up and plays forever. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Adorable!! So, sometimes Spencer doesn't want to go to sleep, so we let him play until he does go down and we also have darkened the windows, so it is easier to go to bed.

Hey!! I found you! And it only took 3 or 4 google searches to do it. Love the half-painted background in this pic. =)

I'm so glad we got together tonight. Your fam is so cute that it's hard not to get good pictures.

I have no idea how else to send comments except this way. There has to be another way, no? Maybe I'll call you for your email address tomorrow. Yes, I think I shall. Ooooh! Can't you just feel the excitement?!

hey ellis family, it finally let me get on. very cute pics. i remember those days. my suggestion is like the others they play till they exhaust themselves.but they have to stay in the bed and be quiet while doing it. even if it does take hours they need to know its quiet time.
