Spring Break

I am pretty awful at taking pictures and it kinda frustrates me. I of course didn't really get too many of our spring break & I especially didn't get any of my kids in their cute new outfits on Eater. Good thing Grandma was here to cover for me (now I just need to get those pictures from her!) The first few days of Spring Break I spent painting our downstairs bathroom. My kids are always good to let me paint. Kayden even helped me a little bit. Because he was so good while I painted I let him choose what we did one afternoon. He chose to color eggs so we did just that.

Brooklyn was happy to just watch thank goodness, if she had a handful of snacks to keep her occupied.
We tried a new method of coloring eggs this year. I got a bunch of kool aid packets and we dyed the eggs in that. I love how they turned out & I think we will be trying this again & experimenting with more colors next year.

Brooklyn wanted to eat the egg....shell and all.

The rest of the week we spent with family. We played at the park and shopped and made cinnamon rolls together and played lots with our cousins. Kayden also got to hold a huge snake for the first time. We also got to see the Jabbawakeez. We got a babysitter for the little kids & had a fun night out. I thought the show was pretty good, I liked it a lot. Of course I have no evidence that we even had company at our house....or had any fun for that matter. Oh well.

Easter Sunday I made the kids wait until after church to do an Easter egg hunt (actually we did it after dinner) I feel bad for Kayden since we don't live close to any family we do our own egg hunt. At least he had Brooklyn this year to do it with but she is hardly competition. We hid their baskets & they had to find those before they could hunt eggs.

Brooklyn didn't get a nap all day & she crashed before we got out of the church's parking lot. I thought she looked so cute with her little pig tails!
Brooklyn got this cute lamb in her basket she loved it. Excuse her cute nap hair and rosy red cheeks.

For dessert Grandma bought this bunny cake. The kids thought that was pretty fun & gobbled it right up.

We sure loved our family visiting & hope they come back soon!!
