My sister decided to go see my parents and she was stopping by our house first so on a whim I decided to tag along with my kids. We all fit in my big Tahoe so I offered to drive. Its about an 8 hour drive from our house but with all the cousins in the car the kids did great and pretty much entertained themselves the whole way. Even the babies did good. Our first after we settled in was to go visit my Grandparents. I always love to spend time with them. My Grandma made us a yummy lunch then we all walked down the street to the park.

The whole reason my sister decided to go to my parents was so that this little guy could be in the play "Behold the Gift" at the Oakland Temple. He got to play the very important part of baby Jesus. He is the third grand kid to be able to play this special part.

These two are just 3 months apart. They loved swinging together.

The kids love to play "Splat" at Grandma's house
We also got to take the kids to see the Nutcracker. We were brave and took all of them to a 5pm showing. Brooklyn lasted about 10 minutes then I spent the rest of the first half in the hall watching through a tiny window. Kayden and Bri lasted until intermission and then I took the three of them to walk around the temple and visitors center while Addy, Kaleb, and Melanie watched the rest.
We only stayed a few days but it was well worth the trip. We always love to go see our family in California and it was great to see them right before Christmas!
