I had a family night planned for the 18th of August...the day of Tyler's passing. I tried to think of something that we could do every year as a family that would remind us of Ty and I came up with kite flying. My mom found some cute kites, one is a butterfly and the other one you paint. Kayden really liked painting the kites and was really excited to go and fly them.
Brooklyn even flew her own for a minute
Kayden was so relaxed just lying in the grass watching the kite fly in the sky.
We managed to only a kite stuck in a tree once. I think this is a tradition we will do every year. After kite flying we went and got slushies. These two things made the night perfect, and it was a perfect way to remember Tyler!

Those are cute kites, I'm glad the activity went so well. I think it will be a fabulous tradition!
