We have had one crazy busy week around here. It all started
with our ward Halloween party last Saturday night. I forgot my camera of course so there are no pictures to show from that. Brock had Monday off so we took Kayden swimming and ic
e skating. We had some friends join us and we had a lot of fun.
Later that night we got to have a fun pumpkin dinner
and carve our pumpkins with some more friends. I forgot my camera again so I didn't get any pictures of Brock gutting and carving our pumpkin. For som
e reason the guts made me nauseous this year so I just helped with the carving. Heres a picture of all of the finished products. Good thing we only had one pumpkin to carve this year. (our is
the dull one on the far right)
Tuesday we hosted play group at our house. Brock was su
ppose to work swing shifts all week but on Tuesday morning they called him and told him his weird shifts would start next week. Well he was nice enough to stay home and help me with all
the kiddos before he headed to work. We made skeletons and decorated sugar cookies. Kayden always loves when playgroup is at our house and so do I.
I don't have to leave and its always a lot of fun. These skeletons kept the kids busy for quit some time.
Wednesday we hosted another playgroup so I made it into a little birthday party for Kayden. He invited 11 friends that he picked out all by himself. He wanted a transformer party so I made a Transformer Bingo and Memory Game for the kids to play. We had cupcakes and opened presents and had a lot of fun just playing all together. I think I might be a little crazy to have that many three and four year olds in my house at once and I might rethink another birthday party while being pregnant. It was a good thing it was only for 2 hours because I was exhausted afterwards. Kayden got a lot of new toys so he was content playing all afternoon while I cleaned up the mess and took a nap. One thing I learned from all of this....never do cake on a table that has carpet beneath it!! It was such a mess. I'm glad the kids enjoyed them though.
It certainly is hard to take pictures when you are running the show. I only got one of Kayden opening gifts... the first one because all the rest I was trying to keep up with while he tore through them. Thanks everyone who came and made his birthday special.
Thursday was another busy day. First we went trick or treating for story time at the library. Then Kayden had his school Halloween party and program. He did really good standing up there with the other kids. They did a little parade with their costumes then sang us some songs. Kayden really isn't into singing in front of anyone, but he did all the actions (all with his tongue out...his concentrating face). He has been singing all the songs at home for weeks though. They got to do some fun activities and go trick or treating.
My cute little bumblebee who can't see out of his mask.
After school we went to the CDC's Discovery Day with Caitlin and Ash. They have so many fun activities there we could spend hours there. It was also fun to see all of Tylers therapists again. I miss them coming into my home every week. They became such good friends. I'm glad we still keep in touch.
At one point Ashley was sitting around this bean pool with all boys. It was funny to watch her watch all of them. This was one of Kayden's favorite activities. Something about those beans that are so much fun.
Friday....we took a break from activities, cleaned the house and rested and enjoyed spending most of the day in our PJ's! The week isn't even over yet and there are more activities to go to plus it's Kayden's birthday tomorrow! It seems life never slows down I'm just glad all of our weeks aren't this crazy busy!!
