So I know its almost the middle of January and I haven't even posted about Christmas yet....thats how it goes around here sometimes. We had a wonderful Christmas week around here. The Monday before Christmas we had a surprise visitor for FHE. Santa came to visit the boys and brought them oranges, candy canes and each a present. (Thanks Santa!!) Kayden really doesn't understand Santa too much this year partly because we are still not sure how much we still want to tell him. But he knows who he is. After Santa came for FHE if anyone asked Kayden what Santa was going to bring him for Christmas he would say that Santa already gave him trucks, so he thought Santa had come and gone and that was all he was getting from him. Well that made it easy on Christmas morning, all of his gifts were from mom and dad.
On Christmas Eve I had to work but we still managed to cook a yummy bird and invite some good friends over for dinner. We had great food and great company. It was a fun night...and yeah I forgot to take any pictures of that event.
Christmas morning we slept in a little and then came downstairs to open presents. Kayden got a dress up box this year and that was the first present he opened. It looked more like Halloween around here than Christmas during the rest of the morning. Kayden got a Spiderman costume in his box. He was so excited he wore that around all morning. We got some nice gifts and had a wonderful time being together. You know your married to an engineer when you open a gift and in it lays a blueprint of a drawing of shelves with a gift card. Brock is so creative with his gifts it amazes me. I have wanted shelves in my spare room closet for a long time now, so thats what I got. Kayden was big into opening presents this year...it didn't matter whose name was on it, it just had to be opened by him. He is at a perfect age. Tyler got a big beanbag for Christmas and that was the perfect gift for him. He has someplace a little more comfy to hang out in during the day and it helps with his breathing too.
After opening gifts we got to have a conference call with all of Brocks family and brother Brian who is on a mission in North Carolina. His family is spread out so it was fun to be able to talk to everyone even if we weren't able to all be together. Brian is on his last leg of his mission. He gets home in March. We are looking forward to seeing him again, and for him to finally get to meet Tyler.
We spent all day watching movies and playing with new toys. It was so fun to just be together and relax from the busy chaos of the season. Christmas night we spent at the Evans house for dinner. We had a great time with them and had a wonderful meal there. Later we got ready to head to Idaho for a week. I had to go right back to work the morning after Christmas but when I got home we hopped in the car and headed to Idaho.

Sounds like a fun Christmas! I love how dress-up entertains the kiddos for HOURS!
Sounds like you had a great Christmas. It was so wonderful to see you during the holidays. I never would have thought I would see you in Idaho Falls.
