Girls Camp

I don't have any pictures of anything we have been doing so I apologize. These will just have to be boring posts. My mom came to visit last Tuesday for the night, and then took Kayden back to my sisters in Salt Lake so that Brock and I could go to GIRLS CAMP. I am in the YW's presidency in our ward and we have been looking forward to and planning for camp all year. We had 6 girls go from our ward. Even though I am 8 months pregnant, going to camp meant a lot to me. I couldn't have done it without the help of my Bishop who let Brock and I sleep in his camp trailer for the night. Camp ran Tuesday through Friday, but I only got to go up on Wednesday night. After my mom left with Kayden (this is the first time I have left him overnight....and I won't lie, it was a little tough to say goodbye) I went and picked Brock up from work and we headed out to camp. We made it just in time for a lovely Dutch oven dinner provided by one of the other wards. After dinner we got together with the stake to sing songs, and then we had our individual ward night. We got to sit around the camp fire and eat smores and banana boats while we listened to our Bishop talk to us. It is such a treat to listen to him. He is an institute teacher here in Rock Springs, and he has lots of amazing stories to tell. Brock and I really enjoy listening to him. We sat around the fire for a long time, and then eventually went to bed. Brock had to be back to work early the next morning, so we snuck out of camp before anyone was awake. I wish that I could have stayed longer but circumstances just didn't allow it. I feel so privileged to be able to work with these great girls. They are such an example to me. Hopefully next year I will be able to go to camp for longer. Thanks Denise and Mandy for all of your hard work to prepare and be at camp with our Young Women.
