A little Sign

For months i would do sign language to Kayden. I read books and bought flash cards, and thought i was doing pretty good. I learned a lot...the only problem was that Kayden never signed back. He never picked it up. He is such a little parrot and it would frustrate me that he would copy EVERYTHING we would do, but as far as sign language....nothing. So i gave up, and haven't thought about it for a couple of months. I thought maybe i was doing something wrong!! Well Rich Evans is living with us for awhile and the first night he came here, he started to do sign language with Kayden, and he picked up on it almost immediately. Rich has the magic touch, or maybe Kayden just wasn't ready and needed to grow up a little. (Although they say babies can pick it up as young as six months???) Kayden is slowly getting it. He still needs a lot of prompting, but it was so rewarding to see Kayden finally say "more" and "please". So here we are again signing, and I feel a little sad that Kayden never picked it up from me, but what can you do?? We owe it all to Rich.....THANKS RICH!!!
(Maybe he can just stick around forever and teach Kayden everything!!)
