Kayden really wanted a friend party for his birthday so I decided since he was turning five he could have one....but seriously no more til he's a lot older!! Kayden picked a "Rockstar" themed party and invited 11 friends. My friend Kara made his awesome invitations.

I found this guitar cake online and just had to try it. It was a pain and I don't want to do one again any time soon but I thought it turned out adorable, and Kayden loved it so that's all that matters. I have a new found respect for people who do this for a living (they've got to be WAY better than me that's for sure!)
Kayden with his friends Chase and Gabe. He started to bawl right before we lit the candles. Typical at a kids party right? He was so tired and he just couldn't handle it anymore...too much fun I guess. Maybe next time he will listen when I tell him he needs to go to bed when I say, so he is not tired for his birthday party the next day....
For the party I had all the kids decorate guitars. I gave them all Rockstar glasses then I had them all walk in on a red carpet and pose as Rockstars. Then we had a dance party and rocked it out. We played freeze dance and when they froze they had to strike a Rockstar pose. I think I had more fun with this party than Kayden did (Kayden's not much of a dancer :)

Happy 5th birthday buddy!!

Love the cake! You did a fabulous job with it. When my kids were little the saying was not to invite more friends than how old they are turning. Five years old, 5 friends for the party. You are awesome to entertain that many kids.
