Summer

July was a crazy month for us and we spent a lot of it driving back and forth from Salt Lake and home. We made the trip four times in four weeks. We got home last night from another trip and I've decided we aren't going anywhere for awhile. We are going to enjoy being at home and enjoy the rest of the summer!! Here's a little of what we have been up to in Salt Lake.

We drove straight down to Utah from our visit in Idaho for Dr. appointments. We were so lucky to be able to meet up with Lisa, Gracie and Anna for a few hours. We sure miss having them as our neighbors. It was so good to see them. I hope its not too long before we get to see them again.

My sister and her family came out from Virginia for family reunions on her husbands side. They decided that they had a couple days to spend with our family too, so my parents flew in, and the kids and I made the drive so we could all be together for a few days. We didn't do much but it was fun to see them. We only get to see them maybe once a year. The kids just played and we attempted to let them swim in Bree's tiny pool in between thunderstorms.

Did I mention that the pool was small??? The kids didn't care though and they had fun running and jumping into it.

The next week we headed down again because Brock's family was in town. Our nephew Zach is on an all star baseball team and his team had its final tournaments in Salt Lake. We don't get to see the Bushling's very often and we have never seen Zach play, so Brock took off a day of work so we could venture back to Salt Lake. Brocks parents also came down from Idaho. Kayden became good buds with Jayda and they went swimming and played at the game together. We saw Zach's first game and they barely won it. They went on and won all of their games and the championship. We were so glad that we were close enough to go see them even if it was only for a few days.

We went down again this week to help my sister out with her kids and also for more Dr. appointments. We again didn't do anything exciting but it's always is fun to hang out with family. We are glad to be home now though and do not have any trips planned for at least a couple of weeks.

Throughout all of the madness of going back and forth we threw in buying a new car. I also got to go spend a couple of days at Girls Camp with this lovely bunch. I had some amazing experiences and realized that camp really is not only for the girls. Thanks to all of those who helped me out with my kids so I could be at camp!!
