Fun weekend away

Both of my sisters blessed their babies this past weekend down in salt lake so of course we made the trip and had a blast. Our weekend started out slow with a couple of bumps. We left almost three hours late due to the wonderful tire service in this town. I got a flat tire on Thursday and we couldn't get it fixed on Friday so early Saturday morning we set out at 7am to see if we could get it fixed. We finally did but it took way too long setting us back a couple of hours. Kayden had NO winter clothes so that was our first priority when we finally rolled in. We stopped in Park City to do a little shopping when not 10 minutes in Tyler puked all over him, his blankets and the stroller. Brock was so sweet and went to clean everything up while Kayden and I shopped. We found Kayden a coat, shoes, socks, long shirts and some pants. That kid is definitely ready for the cold. We didn't get to my sisters house until later in the day but we still managed to go to a cute pumpkin patch with the kids. I of course forgot my camera to catch Addy and Kayden holding hands throughout the maze and throwing pumpkins around to find just the right one. We finally got to meet the newest member of our family...Davan Riley. He is such a cutie and so little. He was a little premature and was in the NICU for some time, but he looks so good now. Heidi and Paul and Davan live in Virginia but they flew out to bless Davan out here so all of the family could be together.

That night we got to stay at Brocks Aunt and Uncles house. They just started serving a family history mission in Salt Lake. It was so good to see them again. They make great missionaries. Watching them makes me excited to one day serve with Brock. Kayden warmed right up to Eddie and Marti and started calling them grandpa and grandpa. He really enjoyed staying there. On Sunday he asked to go back to his grandmas house!

The weather was gorgeous on Sunday. The blessings went great and it was so good to see a lot of family we never get to see. Some of my cousins and even two great Aunts made the trip to be there for the blessing. We got to take family pictures after sacrament and I'm excited to see those. We had a wonderful lunch at my sisters and then finally made our way back home. It was a busy two days but so fun. Its too bad when your family gets all spread out across the country.

Tyler needed to take a little snooze while we were shooting pictures. It took about an hour to get all the pictures done. There were a lot of us!!

Kayden and Addy playing while waiting their turn. They look so cute in their Sunday best.

These two just love each other so much and have so much fun playing together. I wish we lived closer so they could get together more. I hope their friendship lasts into their teenage years and longer. Life isn't complete without a little cousin friend!

(Tyler was awake I just couldn't get any pictures where he was actually looking up instead of down!)
