Recent Happenings...

First of all my Blog finally got a little face lift...I know it's been way too long, and it's sad I need Brock's help to do it! I bet soon Kayden will be showing me how to do all that computer stuff I just can't figure out.
We rang in the New Year with the stomach flu in our house. First the kids got it, then Brock and I soon followed. It's not good when mom & dad are both down for the count! We had family in town for 4 days and we got to see them for all of 45 minutes. We were pretty bummed about that & were so sad to miss out on all of the festivities. A visit to Bakersfield is now in order to make up for some lost time!

My little girl is just growing too fast. She has always had a ton of hair but I was finally able to put it into pigtails, and my my did she look cute! It only lasted a few hours until she slept on it but it was darling while it lasted. She has one tooth on the top and one coming in on the bottom and she has learned to GRIND them. Ahhh it drives me crazy I don't like the sound of it. Really only one and a half teeth and she knows how to grind them?? Silly girl. She is almost walking. She can stand without holding onto anything and has taken a step by herself. It won't be long now! I am so ready for her to be off the floor.

I love January and feeling like a get a fresh start to the year. I love that I can try a little harder to be a little better! I have been working on some projects...the first is these little scripture bags. I teach the sunbeams and got a fresh new class the beginning of January. They are 9 total and my they are a wiggly bunch (the class actually got split today so now I only have 5). I made each of them their own bags and put a Book of Mormon in it. I love when they bring them to church!

Next I made a little Valentines wreath for my door. I love Pinterest and all the fun ideas on there. I found this there and spent a whopping 4 dollars on it, and learned a thing or two about burlap since I never even knew it existed! I love it, and have kinda become obsessed with wreaths on my front door.

And last I started a little craft night at my house. Everything I know about crafting I learned from Melinda and Jen Smith!! I started out not leaving their sides at their craft nights, so I'd say I've come a long ways! (Hopefully I make them proud :) I got my friend Laura to do it with me and I'd say our first one was a success. We made these cute Valentines boards (again another thing I found on Pinterest). We had a good turn out and it was a lot of fun. I am looking forward to many more crafting nights!
I have a lot more projects I'm working on...currently finishing up my Master Bedroom with a new Headboard (an old door I bought off craigslist I am redoing) curtains, decor, and nightstands so I will be posting pictures soon of that. Then onto my kitchen...new counter tops and cupboards. This hopefully will be a great productive year!!
