"L" is for letters

Kayden has been sick the past couple of days so we have been cooped up in our house. No school, swimming or playgroups have we attended. I am getting a little cabin fever and am going crazy to say the least. My house is spotless so it is ready to show at a moments notice so beside a little upkeep now and then I feel like I don't have anything to do, so we have spent some time working on our letters. Kayden has all of a sudden shown interest in them (I tried to teach him awhile ago but he never was interested and it wasn't much fun). We got some leapfrog movies from his cousins in Idaho that teach all about the alphabet and the sound each letter makes. He has loved them and would watch them all day if I let him. We also got an easel from a friend who was moving so he has been practicing writing his letters. He is doing a great job with writing them and he knows the sounds of each one. He just needs to work on identifying each letter now.

I'm sorry you have been stuck inside, hope he gets feeling better. We should get together to do something fun before you leave.

Those LeapFrog videos really surprised me! We got some for Aidan & he's the same way....went from no interest in letters to knowing all the letters & their sounds in a few weeks. Gotta love it! Hope he gets feeling better soon!!
